Report for the GDHE Conference during the Austrian presidency on May 15 to 16, 2006 in Graz. The document shows common features of the EQF and the EHEA and provides a small-scale country comparison between Germany, Denmark and Ireland . As a result, requirements to be met by NQFs have been formulated. Furthermore, options for a strategic approach as well as for measures have been identified for the different system levels in Austria.

This consultation document has been sent to all relevant stakeholders in Austria for feedback. The consultation process ended at June 30, 2008. The document includes background and objectives, the theoretical fundament and design elements of an NQF and proposals for structuring the Austrian NQF.

The Monitoring Report on the implementation of the objectives of the Bologna-Process in Austria by the Federal Ministry for Science and Research is already the fourth report in a series since 2001. The Ministry acompanies the implementation process on national level through a monitoring project; the outcomes are published regularly in the monitoring report. The Austrian objectives are derived from the Bologna-Declaration and the following Communiqués (Prag, Berlin, Bergen). This report maps the time period 2005-2006.
