Implementing Competence Orientation and Learning Outcomes in Higher Education - Processes and Practices in Five Countries. Edited by Eva Cendon, Katharina Prager, Eva Schacherbauer and Edith Winkler. © Krems, July 2008 by Eva Cendon — last modified 2008-09-26 10:44
Learning outcomes are currently the topic within the education sector across Europe. Inspired and challenged by the European developments – the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong learning (EQF) on the one and the Qualifications Framework for the European Higher Education Area (QF-EHEA) on the other hand – countries are working on translating, integrating and implementing the learning outcomes approach in the various national (sub-)systems. This book builds on the experiences of the project HE_LeO – Competence Orientation and Learning Outcomes in Higher Education, co-funded by the Leonardo da Vinci programme of the European Commission. The project was supported by a partnership of eleven institutions (ministries und universities) from five European countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary and Spain) and intended to link the European discussions on the EQF and on the Bologna Process on an institutional level to the HE-sector. This book gives insights into processes and practices geared towards translation und implementation of learning outcomes in the higher education sector and its linkage to (the development of) national qualifications frameworks from different perspectives and actors.
